New Opportunities, Inc. offers a Developmental Training Program for adults who reside in the
  Madison County area who are developmentally and physically challenged. While in the day
  program, individuals receive life skills and vocational training that is designed to enhance
  the skills necessary to function within a community environment. Life skills training is
  conducted in a classroom setting, as well as in the community so that individuals can learn
  in a natural environment to become self sufficient and independent. While participating in
  the work activities portion of the program, participants are paid while they learn to work as
  a team, follow instructions, and develop appropriate worker behaviors and attitudes.

  The services provided by New Opportunities are regulated and licensed by the Illinois
  Department of Human Services. The work activities program is regulated and licensed by the
  U.S. Department of Labor and Illinois Department of Labor.
